Villa Filon is Located on the Kalistis hillside of Pyrgos, where guests can stroll from the house without the fuss of a car and saunter into the village square. Once the capital of Santorini and steeped in history & intrigue, the village offers a truly authentic experience of a typical Greek lifestyle. Ancient Churches, & local artisans line the tiny narrow streets of Pyrgos, whilst the busy square is renowned for some of the best tavernas on the Island and ooze a happy, carefree vibe. The iconic Town of Fira can be easily accessed by car, just 10-minute drive & Oia, 30 Minutes.

Planes is the quickest & most straightforward choice, with routes from many European cities, including Athens to Santorini. You can easily get a direct flight to Athens from the USA and Canada & during the summer, charters from various European cities start from multiple cities, including London, Paris, Prague, Milan, Rome, Frankfurt andAmsterdam. The code of Athens International Airport is ATH, while that of Santorini’s airport is JTR.
Daily ferries connect Santorini (Athinos,Port ) to other Greek islands and mainland Greece – Athens.
There are also daily ferries and speedboats by Seajets, Blue Star ferries and Minion Lines to commute between Santorini and Mykonos, Crete, Naxos and many other neighbouring Islands
Getting around Santorini is easy. The island’s small size means distances and journey times are short, and options are many. Car rental is the most preferred option and a great way to see the island and to explore some of the best restaurants and beaches off of the beaten track. For your convenience, too, we can arrange for the hire vehicle of your choice to be delivered to Villa Filon.
Taxis are plentiful and affordable & there is a local bus network runs with frequent service and cheap fares.
Please note there are some low exterior walls surrounding the outside exterior terrace (wall height 1 Metre) & also a small internal open-plan staircase. Due to the layout, the house is not recommended for toddlers & young children under eight years. Bedroom layout. There are two bedrooms in the main house and two on the courtyard terrace. Please note that Santorini is a hilly island, including Pyrgos, so people with health or walking difficulties may find this location challenging. The Villa is accessed by an uphill path (appx 100 Metres).
